You walked down the hallway in a hurry. "Late again! Damn!" you huffed as you ran. You rounded the corner and ran into someone. You both grunted in surprise as you fell down. "Are you alright?!" Oh no, you thought. You looked up to see Arthur Kirkland. He was your best friend's cousin from Britain and you had the biggest crush on him. "I-I'm fine!" you said quickly as you got up and dusted off your jeans. "You're in my English class right?" he asked. You nodded and looked at your watch; you really had to get going. "We need our books today so that's why I was coming back to our lockers." he said as he pointed toward the locker bay. "Really? Crap!" you exclaimed. You sighed. Another tardy for you. Arthur chuckled. "Just say you were getting your book and that was why you were late." he said, "I'll even back you up." You grinned and said thanks.
Your teacher barely had you use your English books in class so they usually sat in your locker all year. You only used them in class twice. You went to your lockers and got your books and you started to walk to class with him. I can't believe this is happening, you exclaimed in your mind. Your heart was pounding. He must think I'm an idiot though, you thought sadly. You walked into class and Arthur explained your situation and you didn't get a tardy after all. You sighed in relief. If you got another one you were going to get a detention. English class flew by. You sighed because it was your favorite class. You got up when the bell rang and you made your way to your locker. It was the end of the day and you sighed in relief. You started to put the combination in. You pulled the handle. It didn't budge. "Crap!" you exclaimed. You tried again. Didn't work. Your locker was jammed.
"Hahahaha, _______'s locker is jammed!" your best friend, Alfred, said teasingly. You frowned at him over your shoulder. "It's not funny you fatty!" you said. He laughed at your nickname for him. He really wasn't fat. He was actually pretty lean but, he ate non-stop. Hence the nickname. Alfred studied your locker. "I got an idea! Arthur has this neat trick that they use in Britain. Arthur get over here!" he yelled. You hid your face in embarrassment. Arthur was going to save your butt twice today. "What do you want you arse?" Arthur grumbled as he walked over. You looked away to hide your blush. You thought his accent was adorable.
"Use that cool trick to open lockers! _______'s is jammed." Alfred said as he nudged his cousin with an elbow. Arthur frowned at Alfred and then he looked at you. "I'll give it a go." he said with a smile. You tried to not blush and you nodded. "Thank you." you said as you stepped back. "No problem. What gentleman wouldn't help out a pretty girl?" he said. You felt your face heat up. He thinks you're pretty? Arthur studied your locker for a minute then he started to knock on it. He knocked on all four corners and then he lightly punched and kicked it simultaneously. Your locked swung open. "That was awesome!" you and Alfred said at the same time.
Arthur shrugged and leaned against the locker beside it. You put your English book up. You were super aware of Arthur's gaze on you. You also were trying not to touch him because he was standing so close to your locker. "Knew you could do it cuz!" Alfred laughed. Arthur just rolled his eyes. Alfred said, "See ya later guys!" as he walked off with the rest of the football team. "Bloody wanker!" Arthur growled as he ran his fingers through his hair. You tried not to giggle. You thought Arthur was so cute when he was irritated. "He's a good guy." you said quietly. Arthur smiled and looked up at the ceiling. "Of course you would think so, you're his girlfriend." You looked at him in surprise. "What?!"
He looked at you in surprise. You tried to back up a bit. He was standing really close to you and your locker now. "You're his girlfriend right? I assumed so because you're always spending time with him." he said. You shook your head vigorously. "No no! We are just friends! We've been best friends since pre-school!" you exclaimed. You were telling the truth. You and Alfred have been almost inseparable since pre-school. "Really? Well bloody hell!" he said as he ran his fingers through his hair again. You couldn't hold back a giggle this time. You just thought his accent was adorable.
He frowned at you. "What?" "I just love your accent!" you said between giggles. He looked at you in surprise and his cheeks turned red. He rubbed the back of his head. "Bloody hell." he grumbled. You tried not to giggle again. He frowned at you. You smiled back. You knew that he came across cranky but he really wasn't. "______, since my conclusion that you and my cousin were together is wrong. Will you go out on a date with me Friday?" You froze and you looked at him in shock. You regained your composure and you nodded. You hoped you weren't blushing too hard.
He smiled and gently turned you so that you were facing him. He leaned forward and he paused. Your heart was pounding. You closed your eyes and leaned forward too. His lips softly pressed against yours.
This was the only time in your life that you could remember loving school.

You knocked on the door excitedly, waiting for the Englishman to open the door. You had been secretly planning a day to hang out with only England.
He opened the door and smiled at you. "Why hello there, ____"
You smiled back "Hi, Arthur!" You leaned in and grabbed hold of his hand, dragging him out of his house.
He pulled you back a little bit, stopping you. "What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?"
You smiled brightly at him. "I'm taking you out!"
"Out where?"
"On a date!" You pet his head "Silly."
He blushed. "W-why?"
You frowned. "You don't seem to hang out with a lot of girls these days other than me. You only hang out wi

…England.
If there was one thing you hated the most, it had to be people attempting to contact you when you were trying so desperately to sleep.
What time was it again? Gaze flickering to your nightstand where a digital clock rested, you exhaled a sigh once your eyes skimmed over the bright numbers.

You should be asleep by now, but no – instead, whoever controlled your fate decided to pull a jerk move and force you awake due to your phone going off.
At first, your phone only went off once, signaling that you’d received one text. Normally you ignored things like that, dismissing it as something you could r

You slowly sipped your smoothie, trying to pay attention to what your hyperactive best friend, Alfred, was saying to you. For some reason, you just couldn't seem to focus.
"Arthur said that McDonald's is disgusting. Dude, have you ever had his tea?! It tastes like vomit, and I'm not kidding."
You nodded slightly. You felt so weird. You'd been hanging out with Al all day, so he must've tired you out with all his antics. Or maybe it was food poisoning from what you'd just eaten. You knew you shouldn't have trusted the Food Court.
You rested your elbow on the table and tried to keep your head upright by leaning it on the palm of your hand. Yo
