A Pirate's Life: Chap 2You sat in the middle of the office in a daze for what seemed like hours. The full moon shone through the little window on the far side of the room. You finally pulled yourself together and started to explore around the office. You looked out the window again and almost fainted from surprise. The pirates weren't stealing anything. They weren't even going into the town itself, they were just at the docks. They looked like they were searching for something. They didn't kill either. You shook off your surprise and started to look for a weapon.

"Surely the Captain of a pansy pirate ship has a sword or gun in his office." you grumbled.

You looked away so Scholly wouldn't see your flushed face. He almost kissed me, you thought. You tried to regain your composure and stood up.

"Aye Capt'n. The damn coward stopped and he and every man on his crew are waving white flags!" Scholly said.

You frowned. Were the Italians really that cowardly? Arthur nodded and walked over to his desk. He opened a drawer and pulled out an eye patch. He put it on, and then he grabbed his fancy blood red coat. He put it on and grabbed his hat with the huge feather. He walked over to the door and looked back at you.

"Stay in here, this might be a trick." he said

"Edwards, check for more," Arthur ordered, turning back to the teenage girl in front of him.

Officer Charlie Edwards nodded and started toward the back of the house they were inspecting. The girl gnawed on some gum and looked away.

"Now, you had no idea that your brother was dealing heroin? You were completely oblivious?" Arthur asked.

Arthur tightened his scarf and got into the station as quickly as he could. Victoria's grey bun bobbed as she looked up to see him walk in.

"'Ello Artie," she said with a smile.

Arthur couldn't help but grin back. Even though she teased him about not having a girlfriend every once in a while, she still reminded him of his Grandmother with her motherly air and smile. She turned around and grabbed some papers from the top of her filing cabinet.

Christ, I miss coloring like this. In high school, I always had a hay-day with coloring and shading and stuff. I love seeing how different colors makes stuff work. I just...was going to do this my normal way...but I clicked on the Water Color brush and decided to see what would happen. Once I saw how similar it was to how Oil Pastel would be for me, I hit the ground running.

Connor was tough, I'm not used to doing shading for people with darker complexions. I should start practicing. Hence, why he looks a little lighter than usual.

My favorite part had to be Ellie's hair. I love coloring hair so I had a blast with hers.

Anyway, it's called The Kiss because I was listening to The Last Mohican soundtrack and a little work called The Kiss came up. Feels. Feels were everywhere when I heard that song.

It's beautiful! I love the background especially. It completely looks like oil pastels. And Ellie's shading is spectacular.

Thank you ^^ I actually spent the least amount of time on the background lol

And I'm glad you think it is. I know how to shade Caucasian skin better than darker

I will master it someday though!
