Connor hurried toward the manor, not wanting to delay the moment he had been craving for two months now. He finally went and collected the last piece of leather that was mentioned in the letter Peg Leg gave him and he regretted his decision as soon as the Aquila sailed out of the bay.

He finally made it to the manor, taking a deep breath. The sunshine from the rising sun warmed his face as he opened the door, taking care to not make too much noise. She was already hurrying down the stairs, throwing herself into his arms as the door shut. Connor wrapped his arms around her shoulders, burying his face into her hair. He breathed in deeply, basking in her scent.

“Welcome home,” Ellie said, tightening her hold around his neck.

Connor loosened his hold a little, drinking in her appearance. Her hair was pinned back in a bun and she was only in her shift, but he did not care. He wrapped his arms around her waist, picking her up with ease. She giggled a little, holding onto him tightly and wrapping her legs around his waist as he walked into the office.

He set her down on the desk and she helped him shrug out of his coat, waistcoat, and undershirt. He stood between her legs, getting as close as he could. Her shift was starting to fall off of one of her shoulders, exposing the soft skin. Connor pressed a kiss on her shoulder, moving up slowly. “I missed you,” he whispered against her skin, repeating the phrase over and over again.

Ellie cupped his cheek, slowly moving her fingers to his hair. “I missed you too,” she whispered back.

Connor gulped, resting his forehead against hers. Her very touch set him on fire, filling him with desire and love.

“Konnorónhkwa,” he whispered, pressing his lips to hers.

“I love you too.”

Good Lord, Onerepublic gives me feels. I know I already drew a GerIta thing for this song, but I just love it so much. I literally shiver every time he sings FIIIIIIIRE. I shiver thinking about it.

Anyway, I really just wanted to draw something intimate and tender with Connor and Ellie.
