I'm Here

Arthur ignored Alfred's grumbling as he read the paper. He skimmed over the news and sighed when he found nothing interesting.

"Hey Artie! Let's go for a walk!" Alfred said, tugging on Arthur's sleeve.

Arthur let out a sigh. "Fine, but only a little one."

America whooped and ran to get his jacket. Arthur looked out his window and he looked at the sunlight streaming through the trees of his garden. He slowly followed Alfred out and started to walk down the little path through the flowers. He paused when he saw some blue ones and he grinned. A smiling face framed by strawberry blonde hair flashed through his mind.

"Artie! Earth to Britain!"

Arthur shook his head and looked to see America waving his hand in front of his face.

"Dude, what were you thinking about?" Alfred laughed.

Arthur shrugged and said, "My Mother. She liked these flowers."

Alfred's face fell and he looked at the said flowers. "Dude, you remember your Mom? When did she-"

"When Rome fell." Arthur said curtly as he kept walking.

Arthur remembered the day. She was there one day, smiling at him and helping him shoot his bow. And the next...she was just gone. Arthur looked around at the sunlight streaming through the tree branches above him and he grinned.

"I'll always be here Arthur. I'll be the land's memory. I'll be in the trees and in every little thing you see in Nature."

Arthur ran his fingers through the waving branches and kept walking.

Britannia will always be alive to him.

Okay, I had this head canon for a while about all the countries. I imagined that they had a parent, or grandparent, that showed them how to be a 'Country/Nation'.

My head canon for Britannia is that she has Strawberry blonde hair and she always walked around in a Roman Robe/Tunic outfit. She taught Arthur how to use a bow and all that good stuff while she taught all the others (Scotland, Ireland, Wales) their special talents.

Well, I needed to get this out of my system and drawing baby Arthur was enjoyable XDD
